Well, I just fired up a vncserver on my Linux box and then started the
vncviewer on my NT box. Basically what you get is a window on your NT
box that is basically an X environment. You can fire up x based
packages, I had an xterm and xeyes for fun.
So, you don't get an image of your existing Linux desktop. When I
started the server on my Linux box, I started it from X. So, vnc
displayed a message that the vncserver was started on display denali:1.
It's completely enclosed in a separate window, so you can inconize it
and go on about your ugly NT business. It's very fast, much faster than
the Linux->NT solution, but the VNC folks say that up front.
So the answer is, this is a viable solution to the original poster,
sorry I forgot who it was... :)
