[ale] Red Hat 5.1 blocked error

Hi all, I am trying to install red hat 5.1 on my server, but when it
gets to the mounting cd rom part, it finds the scuzzy adapter,
identifies it, but then comes up can't mount cd rom, Block device
needed...

any ideas?
