[ale] ppp 2.3.5

I noticed ppp 2.3.5 has a "demand" option that basically enables the ppp
link to be brought up only when there is outgoing network traffic. 
(Similar to FreeBSD's UserPPP).  However, I am completely ppp dumb.  How
would I enable this option?  If someone is currently doing this, could
you show me (or point me to) some example options files you would use
with the demand option?
