[ale] new boot disks

Robert,

I now have new 5.0 boot and supp disks.  Booted off them and now have cp at
my
disposal.

New problem...i can copy the old kernel to 'vmlinuz' and it shows in the
directory.
But when i reboot, same failure AND a check of the boot directory shows NO
vmlinuz!  It's gone...are we getting a temporary file doing copy on /mnt?

This is wierd!
