[ale] reading mail

I didn't change anything in netscape preferences or on my linux
machine,  but for some reason it says incorrect password evertime I try
to connect to my isp's mail server, using my dialup account.  This was
working just fine last week.  I know the mail password/username is valid
cause I can retrieve mail when I'm in (I can't type it).  I don't have
any trouble browsing either.

Has anyone experienced this before with linux / netscape?

Could someone recommend another mail client to use?

maybe its time to change isp's?
