[ale] KDE1.0 build on RedHat 5.1

Greetings,

I have a RedHat 5.1 system I recently upgraded from RedHat 5.0. I'm trying
to build KDE 1.0/qt from SRPMs, and it's not working. (Note to those
embroiled in this silly KDE/GNOME war: I like GNOME. I like KDE. So
siddown.)

rpm --rebuild qt-1.40-1rh50.src.rpm (from ftp.kde.org) dies with

gcc: installation problem, cannot exec `cc1plus': No such file or
directory

while building moc.

Compiler RPM versions:

gcc-2.7.2.3-11
libg++-2.7.2.8-9
egcs-c++-1.0.2-10
egcs-1.0.2-10

So where's the C++ precompiler?
