[ale] adding Hard Drive to Linux

Pretty straight forward procedure:
(for the sake of brevity, the new drive will be referred to as '/dev/hdb')

1) jumper it, mount it in the case, cable it, power up and tell the BIOS that
the drive is there (basic stuff for any OS)

2) boot Linux and login as root. Run /sbin/fdisk /dev/hdb and partition the 
drive.

3) once the drive has a partition table, run /sbin/mke2fs /dev/hdb1 (hdb1 is
the first partition of hdb). If you made multiple partitions, rerun 'mke2fs' 
for each partition.

As to how you should subdivide the hard drive, that's dependent on your needs.
Maybe the members of ALE have suggestions 8-)
