What are your recommendations for IP name resolution and automatic IP
address assignment (for workstations and hardware printer servers at least)
in a mixed LAN environment including VMS, NT(W and S), Win95, Linux( as W
ans S), and HP JetDirect?  Is there a good Linux-based solution?

Note that I need to have some machines (VMS specifically) with permanent
hardcoded addresses bith names that appear in a DNS.
