[ale] Talk blown now also?

When I try to use talk I'm getting this:

[Couldn't bind to control socket : Cannot assign requested address (99)]


This is a redhat5 box with most of the updates.
Anyone have any thoughts?  Maybe this is related to some of the other
oddities I'm getting all of a sudden.
