[ale] 'No dir' err?

  Alright, I'm real confused now.  I installed libc.tgz and ldso.tgz
 on a RH 4.2 system.  Real stupid, I know, but the point is, I moved
 the /home dir tree to a diff partition and reinstalled the entire
 root fs.  The err 'No directory /home/geary!' has not gone away.  Now
 after that, I tried unmounting /home and creating a /home/geary on the
 root partition but the error is still there.  No one but root can 
 log on.  What the hell is going on here?

   Somebody please help...
