What??? Caldera has done some non-standard thing to screw up being able
to compile a kernel?

Cool, NO PAM!
Anyone know how to de-pamify a system? I looked through stuff and there
seems to be several binaries that are linked against the pam libraries.
I wasn't able to track down where to get all of these, like the binary
for passwd for instance. I need to recompile these since pamified rpm's
are all that is available for Linux on the PowerPC.
Hmmm, perhaps there is a business opportunity here to create alternate
non-RedHat based distributions for the other platforms.
