[ale] Can't get a .sh script to run

I'm not sure what the problem is, but when i try to run a file test.sh it 
bash returns an error bash: test.sh: command not found.  I even tried 
./test.sh and still nothing.  On my Solaris account it works fine.  I'm 
not sure what's going on in my Linux box.  Any ideas?
