}dear sirs,
}i am a new user of red hat linux, just installed the system on my
}computer yesterday. the system runs fine, but i am unable to get x
}windows to work. i have tried every configuration that i could possibly
}think of - but to no success. the most i get is an x windows with 320 x
}240 resolution on a 17" monitor. not very nice. i have the matrox mga
}millenium card and have not been able to set it up with the so called
}XFree86 server version 3.2 - which supposedly supports the mga millenium.
}if any onyone has any knowledge regarding the setup of the graphics card
}under linux, the information would be greatly appreciated. i need help
}desperately as without x windows i really can't do much with my sustem.
}if anyone has any info please contact me at gt8203b at prism.gatech.edu.
}thank you.
}
}nabil.

I'm running Linux with the Matrox Millennium, 20" monitor and 3.2
XFree. Still playing with higher resolutions but I've got the
following working:
Depth 8 "640x480" "800x600" "1024x768" "1280x1024"
Depth 16 "640x480" "800x600" "1024x768" "1280x1024"
Depth 24 "640x480" "800x600" "1024x768" "1280x1024"
Depth 32 "640x480" "800x600" "1024x768"
If you would like, I will share my config file with you. I wouldn't
use it straight away, but use it as a place to start. Drop me mail.
