I seem to remember a discussion on this list a few weeks ago
about someone wanting to give Linux an object oriented desktop.
In fact, several references were made to OS/2's Workplace Shell
which uses OpenDOC.
Well, I was reading in a book on distributed object architectures
that Component Integration Labs was suppose to make the source
code for OpenDOC available. And seeing that IBM ported it to
AIX, if the source code is available, it might not be that hard
to port to Linux.
I haven't done any investigation of this, but it seems like
something to look into.
