[ale] SMP in kernel

Anyone experiment with Linux SMP support. I have found no user
documentation on it at all. I've tried defining SMP in the make file,
but that don't work. I'm running 2.0.27. The Kernel doesn't even bother
with looking for another processor, it just gives a normal boot up
message.

Any ideas
