Actually, Lucent came out with a product called Inferno which is loosely
based on Plan9. I got a demo cdrom copy of it at the USENIX conference
in Jan. I talked to Dennis Ritchie at length about it.

I had an early version of Plan 9 on a set of floppies courtesy of Dennis.
At that time it was pretty rough and would only install on the C: drive.
I had two drives and no room on my C: drive, so I couldn't get it installed.
Actually, let me correct that, I got it installed and it blew away what I
had on the C: drive... That problem has since been fixed according to Dennis.
