I'm setting up a firewall and am working with the hosts.allow &
hosts.deny files.  I found it easy to administer all of the remote
access utilities ( i.e. Telnet, FTP, Gopher, etc ) with this
mechanisum.  Does anybody know if this technique is secure?  When ever I
telnet in
from the Internet I get a "connected to xyz.xyz.xyz.xyz" which makes me
wonder if this presents an opportunity for Willy Hacker.
