Yeah... Don't use elvis (the nominal vi clone editor). Use
vim (one of the others). Does just great. If you do an ls -l /bin/vi
you will probably find it is a symbolic link to elvis. You can remove
it and replace it with a sym link to vim and that then becomes your
default vi editor. Vim is not limited to the 2M limit that elvis
slams into...
