[ale] Sig11 problems compiling kernels

Sig 11 is hardware in one form or another.  I wouldn't rule out an
overheating CPU if it's a DX4-100, or it might be a memory problem.

Start yanking cards, or set your machine next to your air conditioner.
Eventually you'll figure out where the offender is.
