If we need to do a simple topic for December, we could do 
"The year of Linux in Review"   1996 has brought alot to Linux:
 2.0, production multiplatform support, kerneld, bigger confrences
around the country, etc, etc...

I think alot of people might of missed the impact of the blizzard 
of new features available by now

Although I wont volunteer anyone to help me; a few names do come
to mind ;)  So if were lost for a useful topic I'll do this.
