I'm not sure why you'd want the contributed Motif xterm?   It'll be slow
as molasis, err, well slow as mxterm.

rxvt, the default *term on Linux is by far the fastest, has color, has
switchable font sizes etc.

If its the semi-obnoqious left hand scroll bar on rxvt, vs the pretty
right hand Motif scroll bar, well...  Just my $0.02.
