[ale] mounting a dir to another drive

I am dring to mount a dir from /dev/hda to the drive /dev/hdb and am
having problems. I did a mkfs -t ext2 onn hdb and it completed without
errors. Can someone tell me the proper way to achieve this mount? I
have tried everything and I suppose my syntax is wrong.
