[ale] LILO Problem

Hello,

I am trying to install Linux, and have the following configuration:

	/dev/hda1	DOS
	/dev/hda2	Linux Native
	/dev/hda3	Linux Swap

I have installed LILO (1995 version) on the MBR, and made dos and linux
bootable. The number of cylinders on this machine is 1400 (which I
guess is not good, since it is greater than 1024. However, I have made
sure that all partitions have cylinder numbers <= 1024.
 
When I boot up from the hard disk, LILO freezes after printing LI. 
Has anyone seen this problem - do you know what is the fix ?
