[ale] backups

I have a notebook with a pcmcia/scsi2 card and want to buy a scsi
drive to use for backups (about 400 meg). I have seen ads for
syquest and zip drives with removable discs. Is there some reason
to prefer one of these, or is there a better choice?

If this is not an appropriate post for this group I apologize.
I am running the version of linux that runs on a dos partition.
I think it is UMSDS.
