By editing the configuration file: ~/.fvwm2rc95
one can set the extent of "maximized" windows so as to avoid the
screen bottom in which the "taskbar" resides, viz:
(REMOVE) + "(Un)Maximize" Maximize 100 100
(ADD) + "(Un)Maximize" Maximize 100 96
and several other similar chages.
