[ale] hd crash

I have a linux box who's hd crashed or somthing.  Anyway it was working =
fine I moved it to another location and when I booted it it would not =
get past the Adding Swap: prompt.  So I got another scsi drive put linux =
on it and ran e2fsck on the old hd.  It still hangs once the Adding =
Swap: prompt appears on the screen.  Any ideas on how to recover from =
this?
