[ale] Anyone using Andrew?

Is anyone using Andrew (ez)?
It looks like a decent package (at least for simple word processing) but
I have not been able to get to work properly.  It leaves 'cursor trails'
on my screen.  Everytime I move the cursor, it leaves a piece behind.
Everything else looks ok.
