Well, working for Motorola's pager people, I thought I'd update you.
1) Already, alphanumeric pagers can handle receiving e-mails. The ~ and @
are valid pager characters, and models like the Advisor have multiline
displays and can accept messages up to 4K.
2) The just introduced pager, the PageWriter, is a two-way pager that
will let you respond to pages using a small keyboard. We already have
a two-way pager called Tango that lets you choose a response from several
choices. The PageWriter is in beta testing now, but should be generally
available in 1Q 1997.

Now, to stay on topic for the list, I heard the new Poe song... "You can't
talk to a Tango like a normal one-way pager". Very cool. :)
